Section I

Gives common sense advise on proper nutrition, exercise, sleep habits and coping with environmental hazards.

 

Section II

Explores the structure-function relationship of the human body, and how this affects the body's inherent ability to heal. It discusses important persons who have recognized that the body is designed to heal, but couldn't explain how, and then focuses on Andrew Taylor Still, M.D., who understood how the body heals, and developed methods of manipulation which enhance this natural healing process. He called his philosophy "Osteopathy," and it is very similar to what Hippocrates advocated almost 2,500 years ago.

 

Section III

Discusses Managed or Structured Health Care, relating it to the human body, in that the more rigid the structure is, the less functional it is. Managed Care was developed to make health care more universally available, and to lower the cost, but has done exactly the opposite.
